How do I know my RRB NTPC hall ticket number?


The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) conducts a Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) exam for jobs ranging from Junior Clerk to Station Master on the Level 2 to Level 6 pay scale. Although the exam is not conducted every year, the recruitment notification is published per the vacancies and requirements of the different railway zones. The applicants can find the syllabus and exam pattern for the RRB NTPC exam on the official website. 

The RRB NTPC is conducted in the following phases:

  1. First Stage CBT (Computer-based test) 1: Prelims
  2. Second Stage CBT (Computer-based test) 2: Mains
  3. Typing Test (skill test)
  4. Document Verification
  5. Medical Examination

The list of selected candidates is then published on the official website. Recently, the RRB released the results of the RRB NTPC 2022 CBT-1 on March 30, 2022. This exam was held from December 28, 2020, to July 31, 2021. Out of the 1 crore 26 lakh individuals who applied for the test, more than seven lakh students passed the RRB NTPC 2022 CBT-1 test.

The second stage, i.e., RRB NTPC 2022 CBT-2, for the shortlisted candidates for Level-4 and Level-6 in CBT-1, is tentatively scheduled for May 9, 2022, and May 10, 2022. The RRB NTPC exam dates for Level-2, 3 and 5 in CBT-2 are yet to be announced. Due to student protests, the RRB NTPC 2022 CBT-2 schedule, which was originally set from February 15 to February 19, 2022, had to be postponed. 

The RRB NTPC admit card for RRB NTPC 2022 CBT-2 will be released four days before the exam for all the qualified candidates from CBT-1. Eligible students will be able to download their RRB NTPC admit card through the download link published on the official website. 

Procedure to Download RRB NTPC admit card

The following steps are to be followed to download RRB NTPC admit card for the RRB NTPC 2022 CBT-2 round. 

  • The first step is to go to the official website of the Railway Recruitment Board.
  • Scroll and click “other links” and click “other RRBs” to open it.
  • A page with respective regions will appear on the dashboard. Select the appropriate region. 
  • Once the region is selected, click on “RRB NTPC CBT – 2 Admit Card 2022”.
  • Fill out the registration number received at the time of application, date of birth and enter the password. 
  • Click the “Submit” button on the screen.
  • The RRB NTPC CBT – 2 Admit Card will be displayed on the computer screen, which students can download;

Applicants should make sure to take a print, as, without the admit card and a photo ID, they will not be allowed to sit for the exam. The hall ticket number is mentioned on the admission card. The name on the admit card should match the name and date of birth mentioned on the photo ID card.

If a candidate forgets their password and is unable to access their admit card through their account login, they can retrieve it by following the steps below.

  • Visit the official website of the Railway Recruitment Board
  • Scroll down and click “other links” and then click “other RRBs” to open it
  • Select the respective region
  • Click the “RRB NTPC Roll Number Forgot Link”
  • A page will open. Enter credentials such as name, father’s name, date of birth, and registration number
  • An OTP will be sent to the candidate’s registered number 
  • Enter the OTP and click the “Submit” button 
  • Candidate will receive a link on their registered email ID
  • Click the link to reset the password 

The User ID and password are essential to download the RRB NTPC admit card and the exam results.
